Christof Knoeri is a senior researcher in the Group for Sustainability and Technology (SusTec) at ETH Zurich and an associate researcher at the Sustainability Research Group at the University of Leeds, UK.

His research focuses on the complex interplay of technologies, business strategies, user practices, ecosystems, and institutional settings to drive sustainable transitions in socio-technical systems.

Christof utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research methods, specializing in socio-technical modelling techniques like agent-based modelling, particularly in the adoption of new technologies and value propositions in the built environment and energy sector.

He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Zurich and an MSc in Environmental Science from ETH Zurich, with previous roles at EMPA and TU Delft as a research assistant and guest researcher respectively.
