Emily Wray is an accomplished Course Director and Instructional Designer in the Media Communications Bachelor of Science program at Full Sail University. With extensive experience in education media design and technology, psychology, and criminology, she has stood out as an innovator, mentor and collaborator in the field. Emily has a Master of Science degree in Education Media Design & Technology from Full Sail University and studied Psychology and Criminology at Florida State University.
Emily has a passion for mentorship as she closely guides her students, helping them recognize their personal and professional growth through a media-rich portfolio. She is an award-winning expert in digital storytelling projects that center on reflection, therapeutic processing, social justice, and career development.
Emily's work with Voices of Petersburg project gained worldwide attention, being featured and funded by New York Times’ best-selling author Chris Guillebeau and the World Domination Summit. She's an active civic participant in Orlando's non-profit organizations, serving as a board member at Zebra Coalition and Orlando Together.
Emily's impact is further seen in the creation of the RISE Model, a widely recognized framework for giving and receiving feedback that has been implemented in government, corporations, and classrooms around the world. Her expertise makes her a sought-after speaker with invitations to speak at prestigious educational events such as SXSWedu, New Media Consortium Conference, Apple Distinguished Educator Institute, Future of Education Technology Conference, and Florida Online Education Summit. Emily is also the Founder of Make Sense Media, a creative collective in Orlando, Florida.
