Jonathan Sokobin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic and financial analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from The Ohio State University. Jonathan has held prominent roles in various prestigious organizations, including his current position as the Chief Economist at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Previously, he served as the Acting Deputy Director of Research and Analysis at the Office of Financial Research within the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and as the Chief of Analytical Strategy at the same institution. Furthermore, Jonathan has also held positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as the Deputy Director of the Division of Risk, Strategy and Financial Innovation, Director of the Office of Risk Assessment, and Deputy Chief Economist. Prior to his government roles, he was an Assistant Professor at the SMU Cox School of Business, showcasing his dedication to both academia and public service.
