Peter Propp is a senior business leader and marketing expert with a strong track record of developing and driving innovative initiatives. He has extensive experience in marketing communications, product marketing, corporate innovation, alliance development, branding, content marketing, event marketing, and community development across various industries.
Propp is a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, NY, and Kenyon College where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He has held various executive roles in marketing and business development, including Director of Marketing at Valisure, Chief Marketing Officer at Stamford Innovation Center, Vice President, Marketing at Imaginatik, Managing Principal at Propp Partners, and Business Unit Executive at IBM Software Group.
Throughout his career, Propp has spearheaded numerous successful initiatives, including launching and running Stamford Innovation Center for five years, recruiting early-stage companies for Lockheed Martin's corporate innovation program, and selling earliest deals for IBM WebSphere Software, eventually a multi-billion business. Additionally, he has developed and managed global marketing campaigns, led worldwide channel sales, and managed IBM's Websphere Application Server and Studio Marketing.
Propp's expertise lies in developing and gaining buy-in for creative solutions to business problems, focus on segmentation, strong writing and editing, positioning, and core tactics. He is passionate about new initiatives and achieving optimal results from a business development, marketing or management point of view.
