Sourav Bhuyan is a seasoned UX researcher with a wealth of experience in the areas of e-commerce, retail, usable privacy, healthcare, and logistics. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Currently, he works as a Senior User Experience Researcher at Zappos Family of Companies, where he employs different research methods to gather quality insights that answer business, product, and design research questions. Before that, he worked as a Mobile User Experience Researcher at Zappos Family of Companies and as a Usability Analyst at Guitar Center.

Sourav is passionate about understanding customers’ behaviors and attitudes vis-a-vis engagement, funnel, user journey, and context. He believes in complementing research methods to gather more comprehensive insights, and he enjoys exploring the strengths, constraints, and applications of research methods. He was also a Graduate Assistant (Front-end Site Operations) and a researcher at the Human-Computer Systems Lab at Clemson University. His early professional career was as a Marketing Engineer at Josts Engineering Company Limited.
