BSc. Jorge Barriga

Jorge Barriga is a driven professional with a diverse range of experiences, both domestically and internationally. He studied Relações Internacionais and Direito at the esteemed Universidade de Coimbra. While there he was an Assistant Lecturer at the College for International Co-operation and Development (CICD) where he later participated in the Gaia program and the Volunteer/Fighting with the Poor Program which took him to Mozambique. Following his successful participation in these programs, Jorge took on a leadership role as a Supervisor at ADPP Moçambique. He has also volunteered with refugees at Lighthouse Relief and Refugee4Refugees. Prior to his academic pursuits, he worked as a Public Relations representative, Cashier, Barman, and Waiter at àCapella - Centro Cultural e Casa de Fado, and a Waiter at Restaurante Marisqueira Porto de Abrigo, Santa Cruz. Jorge also served as an Administrative Front Office employee at CUF Torres Vedras Hospital and a Call Centre Agent for PT Contacto. Throughout his career, Jorge has exhibited an admirable work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a heart for service.
