Rick Schmitz is the CEO of LTO Network, a hybrid blockchain solution that facilitates efficient collaboration on multi-stakeholder processes. He transitioned into tech after a successful exit from his first company, following an 80-hour workweek as an M&A tax lawyer at PwC. LTO Network, founded in 2014, focuses on diverse applications like international waste transportation, consumer goods tracking, and data integrity for digital signatures. Rick's educational background includes studying VWO at Aloysius College Den Haag, PHP school, and achieving a Master's in Tax Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Prior to LTO Network, he co-founded LegalThings, Firm24, and worked in private equity, M&A tax law at PwC, and as an analyst and tax assistant at Deloitte Amsterdam Tax.
