Maya Horgan-Famodu is a highly accomplished venture capital investor, entrepreneur, and 2x Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur. She is passionate about helping brilliant people, regardless of where they are based, to get access to the resources they need to build wildly scalable businesses.

With a focus on early-stage African tech, Maya founded Ingressive Capital, a $10 Million VC Fund I and $50 Million Fund II, which is home to an impressive list of portfolio companies, including Paystack, Bamboo, Carry1st, Mono, Tizeti, Lenco, Jetstream, 54gene, and OZÉ, among others. She also founded Ingressive for Good, a non-profit providing micro-scholarships, technical skills training, and talent placement, as well as Ingressive, an advisory firm providing market entry, market ops services, and tech research for corporates and investors.

Maya's extensive experience includes working with over 50 venture firms and tech companies seeking to enter and operate in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Y Combinator, 500 Startups, New Relic, USAID, GitHub, and Techstars. Clients have made over 70 investments into Africa-based tech, and several have started numerous joint ventures through Ingressive market entry services.

Maya has completed studies in various fields, including Telegraf Preparatory Course for JavaScript at Telegraph Academy, Cornell University Prelaw Program, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Environmental Science, English Minor, Graduate at Pomona College, and worked within the banking sector for JPMorgan Chase. Before starting Ingressive, Maya conducted emerging market economic research in Southern Africa and LatAm and worked in private equity research and consulting with businesses looking to enter the West African market.

In her free time, Maya enjoys a range of activities, including exercising, riding her motorcycle, and traveling. She also loves dancing, choreographing, gardening, and cooking for the people she loves.
