Peter M Muriungi

Peter M Muriungi is the CEO of Chase Auto, a division within JPMorgan Chase & Co. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in auto financing, mortgage banking, and strategic leadership.

At Chase Auto, Peter oversees various key functions such as strategy, sales, finance, risk operations, marketing, and technology. He plays a crucial role in advising the CEO on automotive matters and is part of the Consumer Lending Leadership Team.

With over $80 billion in assets, Chase Auto is a prominent player in auto financing, maintaining relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers. The division offers a wide array of financial products and services catering to dealers, consumers, and vehicle manufacturers.

Prior to his current role, Peter held several leadership positions within JPMorgan Chase, including Head of Transformation for Home Lending and Head of Servicing. His initiatives led to remarkable improvements in customer experience and satisfaction, earning top rankings in industry surveys.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Peter is actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion. He participates in JPMorgan Chase's Black Executive Forum, sponsors The Fellowship Initiative in Dallas, and serves on the Board of Directors of Big Thought, a non-profit supporting disadvantaged youth.

Before joining Chase, Peter served as Senior Vice President at GMAC Mortgage, where he managed special portfolio management and servicing strategies. He also held leadership roles at EMC Mortgage Corporation.

Peter holds an MBA from East Texas Baptist University and a bachelor's degree in international business from the United States International University in Nairobi, Kenya.
