Rich Matsuura, a product executive with over a decade of experience, has a strong background in product strategy, leadership, and innovation. He honed his technical skills by starting a web design, ecommerce, and hosting company, Internet Simple, which grew to include corporate clients such as Microsoft, Philips, and Sequoia Capital. Rich then served as a consultant at Cisco where he gained deep knowledge of product lifecycle management and successfully led a team of designers and programmers. He then rose through the ranks at eBay, from Product Manager to Director of Product Management for the B2C and consumer selling tools, leading teams and making significant contributions to complex, large scale, multi-sided, global marketplaces.

As Head of Product for eBay’s shipping team, he started one of the first agile product management teams that was later adopted across eBay. He was then promoted to Director of Product Management for eBay's B2C and consumer selling tools (led a team of 20 PMS). Then, he led eBay's Seller Trust and Feedback BU, where he developed and executed strategies that required support across various eBay organizations.

Rich's technical expertise and experience in leadership led him to co-found PandaTree, where he served as the VP of Product. He managed the engineering, product, and design teams, and acted as interim CTO during the company's fast-paced growth. PandaTree became a top-rated language learning site with 4.9 stars on Google.

Through his diverse experiences, Rich honed his skills in leadership, product strategy, agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and large-scale marketplace dynamics. With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Rich has made impressive contributions to technology and education sectors as a product executive.
