Marta Stoepker is a seasoned communication professional and Managing Director of Communications at Climate Power. She attended Columbia College in California, where she studied Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Before joining Climate Power, she served in various strategic communication roles at Sierra Club, including Deputy Communications Director and Associate Director of State Communications. Stoepker also worked as a Regional Communications Manager for Sierra Club and an Account Supervisor at BerlinRosen. In the past, she was Legislative Aide, Legislative Correspondent, and Press/Staff Assistant at the Office of US Senator Debbie Stabenow. Moreover, Stoepker had been Press Secretary at Alderman Robert Fioretti’s office and Congressional Intern at the Office of US Congressman Bart Stupak.
Stoepker's career spans across government, public service, advocacy, and private sectors. She has experience in media relations, public affairs, issue advocacy, and crisis communications. Stoepker has a passion for clean energy, environmental conservation, and sustainability. In her current capacity at Climate Power, she leads the overall communication strategy and manages the communications team. Under her leadership, Climate Power aims to build public awareness and drive policy change to address climate change and shift to cleaner energy solutions.
