Hunter Swensson is a former professional gamer turned sports marketing executive. Swensson began his career in the esports industry, signing a professional contract at the age of 19 with Major League Gaming after placing 15th in national tournaments across the United States. He went on to secure personal sponsorships and endorsements from major corporations such as Kicker Audio and Toyota Motors, making him the first professional gamer to sign personal endorsements with corporate companies.
In 2009 and 2010, Swensson competed in Las Vegas at the SEMA car show and Kicker Big Air Bash at the Palms Casino & Resort. There he became a spokesperson for the Toyota All Terrain Gamer, which was featured on Speed Channel and Playboy, as well as other national and local media outlets. He spent the next few years representing sponsors across the country at various tournaments and sponsorship appearances.
After leaving the esports industry, Swensson began working as a sales and marketing intern at Cumulus Media (The Ticket) in Dallas, TX. During his internship, he worked closely with the city of Dallas to provide branding solutions to the city-owned golf courses in the metroplex. He then spent three years as an account executive for ESPN and The Ticket in the DFW media market, generating $2MM in revenue in three years.
Swensson is currently on a mission to revolutionize the way fans experience sports by connecting teams to fans using the latest technology available. He aims to solve sports' biggest problem, discovery.
