Jay Pazos is a highly skilled and experienced econometrician and researcher with over two decades of experience in valuations, investments, financial planning, business intelligence research, economic and financial modelling. He is also the current Managing Director of a Family Office. With an MBA in Finance and Business Economics concentrations from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Jay has worked as a Senior Adviser at Family Office, Head of Equity Research at TokenMarket Ltd, CTO and Hedge Fund Manager at Private Hedge Fund, and Associate at McKinsey & Company.

Jay is an equity researcher who enjoys identifying companies and technologies that would be enablers, beneficiaries, and leaders of innovation. His interests extend to understanding disruptive technologies and the industries that are affected by those technologies, and discovering which companies will emerge as winners. Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, DLT, and Blockchain technologies pique his interest, as he expects that in a few years, these technologies will have spun a plethora of new products and a few big company winners.

Jay has contributed significantly to the development of various areas of macroeconomics and finance, including auction theory, exchange operations, asset and portfolio management, and the valuation and pricing of different types of products and securities. His most recent work involves developing the first peer-reviewed valuation formula for ICOs of utility tokens and the first formula to calculate the discount rate for start-up companies. Jay has several Blockchain-based patents pending and relates to trading securities.
