Dave Coleman is a highly experienced and respected roboticist and CEO of PickNik, with a deep technical background in robotics, motion planning, IK, control, and software engineering. He has studied both Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dave's impeccable expertise and skills have been applied in numerous organizations, including Google, the JSK Humanoids Lab at the University of Tokyo, the Open Source Robotics Foundation, and the Correll Robotics Lab, to name a few. He has also worked in different roles such as Robotic Software Engineering Intern, Visiting Researcher, Roboticist Intern, and Research Assistant.

Aside from his experience, Dave is also known for his passion for collaborating with clients and finding solutions to various robotics challenges for their unique applications. He has consulted and collaborated with 52 robotics companies, from startups to corporate R&D groups. As a visionary leader of the MoveIt motion planning project (moveit.ros.org), Dave has demonstrated his invaluable contribution to the world of robotics.
