Mary Alade, LLB, Cert CII, is a professional with a strong background in the insurance industry, currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Aon.

Born in Nigeria and educated in London, Mary holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen Mary, University of London.

Throughout her career, Mary has held various positions at international Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers, showcasing her expertise in the field.

Mary is highly involved in topics such as parametric insurance solutions, climate change, blockchain, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular interest in the development of the insurance sector in Nigeria.

At Aon, Mary spearheaded initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion, such as developing workshops to upskill ethnic minority students and creating fast-track programs for BAME individuals.

Her efforts have significantly increased the representation of BAME students in Aon's internship and graduate schemes.

Mary is an active member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Worshipful Company of Insurers, and engages in educational and charitable programs.

Furthermore, she serves as a school Governor for an Inner City Secondary School in London, demonstrating her commitment to education and community involvement.

Beyond her professional life, Mary has a passion for music, where she leads a band and plays as a keyboardist at her church, also engaging in songwriting and composing.
