Ismail Hossain is an accomplished economist with educational backgrounds from prestigious institutions such as the University of Ottawa and North South University. With extensive experience in both academia and industry, Ismail has proven himself as a competent and reliable economist.

Starting as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at North South University, Ismail quickly established himself in the industry as an Intern at IDLC Finance Limited, performing Credit Risk Management. From there, he gained experience as an Associate, Process Innovation & Knowledge Management at mPower Social Enterprises Ltd. where he climbed the ranks to eventually become the Team Lead for Business Analysis & Process Innovation. During this time, he also acted as the organization's Board Secretary.

His successful completion of these roles landed him a position as an Economist Recruit at Statistics Canada, where he now serves today.
