Ehud Gazit is a distinguished professor and expert in biotechnology and drug development. He holds an Endowed Chair and a membership on the Executive Council at Tel Aviv University, where he serves as academic director of the BLAVATNIK CENTER for Drug Development and the Head of the Laura Schwartz-Kipp Institute for Biotechnology. His long and varied career includes serving as the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology from 2012-2014 and as Tel Aviv University's Vice President for Research and Development from 2008-2012. Gazit earned a B.Sc. with the highest distinction from Tel Aviv University and received his Ph.D. from the Weitzman Institute of Science as a Clore Fellow, where he was awarded the John F. Kennedy Award. His impressive list of accomplishments includes publishing over 300 peer-reviewed publications in top journals such as Science, Cell, and Nature Nanotechnology, to name a few, and holding over 120 international patents, including 43 issued US patents. His speaking engagements include over 250 invited presentations, including keynote presentations at Harvard University and EMBO Keynote Lecture at BioMAT 2017. Gazit has received numerous awards and has served in various positions related to science and technology at the national and international levels.
