Somshubhro Pal Choudhury is a renowned figure in the tech industry with extensive experience in venture capital, product management, business strategy, and engineering. He is a partner at Bharat Innovation Fund, a startup fund focused on developing IP driven startups in India. He is also a board member of FireCompass.com and PlayShifu.com, two innovative tech companies. Som has an academic background in electrical engineering and computer engineering, having studied at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, North Carolina State University, and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Before joining Bharat Innovation Fund, Som served as the Managing Director of Analog Devices India, a subsidiary of a global semiconductor company headquartered in Boston. He previously worked at NETGEAR as the Worldwide Director of Product Marketing/Management, Wireless, and MultiMedia. Som was also a Director of Product Management at American Grid Inc., among other roles. Aside from his corporate experience, he is an advisor to several IoT startups and serves as a board member of the US India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF), which promotes joint research programs between Indian and US scientists.

Som has also contributed to the tech industry with his co-authorship of the book "New Kind of Computational Biology," published by Springer. He co-founded IoTForum, an IoT ecosystem building think tank in India and also chairs India's top IoT conference, IoTNext. He is a former executive council member of Industry Body, IESA (India Electronics & Semi Association) from 2016-18 and an Advisor to the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) India chapter.
