Thanos Papasavvas, CFA, is a highly experienced asset management professional with over 20 years of experience in fixed income, emerging markets, currency management, and multi-asset. He is the Founder and CIO of ABP Invest Limited, providing strategic outlook and research on markets, geopolitics, economics, and FX.

Papasavvas began his career as an Economist for the UK Government Economic Service, coincidentally amidst the outset of the ERM Crisis of 1992. Afterward, he managed portfolios for FTSE, Dow, and DAX pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, local authorities, and family offices at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Investec Asset Management. His team was presented with the "Currency Manager of the Year" award in 2004 and 2010.

In addition to his positions at ABP Invest Limited, Papasavvas has also co-founded and acted as CIO of Equant-Analytics, a FinTech and advisory company. He was also a Founding Partner and strategic adviser of EMFC Loan Syndications, a financial boutique assisting companies seeking to raise bank debt. Papasavvas is a frequent guest on BBC, CNBC, and Bloomberg, as well as a regular speaker at business and investment conferences.

Papasavvas holds an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London. He is also a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and holds the CFA® Charterholder designation. Born in Athens, he has been living in London for over 30 years.
