Jivir Viyakesparan, a Civil Engineer and Fellow of CIWEM and IWA, is a prominent figure within the water assets and resources sector. With a vast experience in leading and delivering complex projects and programs, his expertise include construction projects, commercial tenders, cross-functional business change programs, and investment programs. Additionally, Viyakesparan has managed water supply/resource departments internationally, ranging from 10-20 staff accountable for growth, revenue, and P&L. He has been aligned with top water engineering, design and management firms in New Zealand, UK and Asia-Pacific region including WSP, GHD, SMEC and MWH. Recently, he has been appointed as CIWEM Ambassador for New Zealand. Viyakesparan holds an MSc in Engineering Hydrology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Aston University.
