Yibin Chu

Yibin Chu is the Director and Head of Corporate Citizenship Asia Pacific at Citi, overseeing corporate citizenship efforts across 17 markets in the region.

He is a specialist in economic development and financial inclusion with experience in public, non-profit, and private sectors across Asia Pacific, Africa, and North America.

Yibin Chu has a track record of designing large-scale programs, building partnerships, and applying market-based approaches in development solutions.

He co-created Youth Co:Lab with UNDP, a youth social entrepreneurship movement in 25 countries in Asia Pacific, focusing on empowering young people to address regional challenges.

Yibin Chu led various initiatives like the Asia Pacific Financial Inclusion Summit, Citi-FT Financial Education Summit, and managed a global urban value chain development program supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

He also initiated the international adoption of the Minimum Economic Recovery Standards (MERS), supported by USAID, which involved building strategic partnerships and developing a certification program.

Yibin Chu holds a Master's degree from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree from Zhejiang Gongshang University.
