Dr. Sharon Woodall
Dr. Sharon Woodall is a highly educated and experienced educator who has devoted her career to providing students of all backgrounds with a strong and meaningful education. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern California College, a Master of Science in Reading Teacher Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce, an Ed.D. in Supervision Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a Principal's Certification in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lamar University, she is a true authority in her field.
Dr. Woodall has worked in a variety of roles throughout her career, including as a Special Education & Technology Applications Teacher at Holland ISD, an Assistant Professor at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a Lead Faculty at LeTourneau University, an Instructor at Navarro College, and an ESL Teacher at Dallas ISD. Throughout each role, she has sought to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that facilitates positive learning experiences for all students.
Dr. Woodall's expertise lies in a range of instructional design models and differentiated instruction techniques, including direct and indirect teaching, depth of knowledge, active learning, and brain research. She is also deeply interested in the intersection between technology and education, having conducted a longitudinal study on how students use technology to support their learning. Her current research interests also include effective instruction of social studies and literacy, as well as geospatial reasoning and activities like geo-caching.
