Meet David Thorpe, a Founding Partner of INDUSTRY, a strategy, design and marketing consultancy based in Portland, OR. With over 17 years of experience working as a Group Creative Director of Ziba’s Digital Lifestyle Group, Thorpe is a seasoned professional in product strategy and innovation, design research, and ethnography, brand strategy, and product development. An alumnus of Stanford University, Thorpe's technical background and strategic design thinking expertise have redefined markets through design.

Thorpe has led creative programs for Fortune 500 companies such as Nike, Starbucks, Panasonic, HP, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola. He has received awards for his work in sustainability, including the Shades of Green-Best of the Northwest award for sustainable architecture. Thorpe is a former board member and current president of Lincoln Youth Soccer and is actively involved in sustainable design. He has worked with many clients to innovate in this area, including BP and Portland General Electric.
