Damjan Obal is a design researcher with over 15 years of experience in the field. Holding a Ph.D. in Game and Interactive Media Design from Lapin yliopisto and a Ph.D. in Computer Science/HCI/UX from Univerza v Mariboru, Damjan has designed products for NGOs, start-ups, and large enterprise companies such as Cisco, CNN, and Deutsche Bahn. Before beginning his current role as a Design Researcher at Pexip, he served as the Research Director with Cognizant and the Design Research Lead with Cisco Webex Devices. He has helped build, groom, and grow design and research teams globally, improving countless experiences for customers. Damjan has also contributed to the field as a lecturer in UX and research at Brainster and a guest lecturer at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien.
