Over the next few years, the technology quickly developed from concept, to prototype, to product, as the major technological challenges were solved and the systems became more powerful, more efficient, more reliable, and more economical. Heliogen, founded by Bill Gross and backed by Bill Gates and Kittu Kolluri, is a clean energy tech company that is transforming sunlight to create and replace fuels. Heliogen’s technology delivers carbon-free, ultra-high temperature heat from an on-site concentrated solar power array. The system uses advanced computer vision coupled with AI software for unprecedented accuracy, efficiency and commercial scalability. It also replaces greenhouse gas-generating fuels with clean, solar heat in a wide range of industrial processes for the first time. The technology tackles the “75% problem,” which refers to the 75 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions that are from non-electricity sources. It provides a path to decarbonization for industries, including cement, mining, steel, and petrochemicals, which require high temperatures in their operations.My role in Heliogen is to identify product market fit in key international markets. I will be using my decades long experience in the Power sector to work with my customers and partners to identify innovative use cases for the Heliogen technology and bring them to those markets.

Giantleap deploys capital and human resources to industrial companies by executing a playbook which enhances aftermarket services growth and digital transformation in industrial companies. This kind of transformation is largely untapped in industrial companies thereby presenting an opportunity for value creation. Giantleap also helps tech companies commercialize their products and solutions to the industrial world. I am also an advisor to venture firms Neotribe.vc and Rocketship.vc with focus on Ind-tech (Industrial Technology). I have also advised leading Private Equity firms including TPG and Blackstone on new investments strategies, also using the Giantleap playbook. Recently, we have invested in and are advising 2 companies including <a href="http://Cognecto.com">Cognecto.com</a> that digitally enables aftermarket industrial services. GE Energy Services provides aftermarket service and lifecycle support for Power Generation and O&G industries. Generated $20B of revenues and employed 15,000 employees worldwide. I reported to CEO of GE Energy Services who was also a GE SVP & Officer. I led 300 people team to restructure the business for stable growth. This role was a transformative role as I had to learn to effect change through suggestion and influence rather than by exercising direct control. This role also taught me the power of communications, story telling, relationship building and the importance of navigating cultures  in effecting large scale change. My team accomplished the following in a short 2 year duration:•	Restructured the business from 80+ small P&Ls to 1 focused P&L with fulfillment cost centers. •	Created Risk Management function to prevent margin erosion by tightening ITO & OTR processes. •	Rewired the ERP to focus fulfillment centers on productivity / cost and regions on orders / margin.•	Achieved $400MM of productivity run-rate by 2009 thereby creating a stable platform for growth. •	Redeployed transformation team to key leadership and functional roles to sustain the transformation.

Delivered 12 commercial products (revenues >$1B) , published 25 patents for Power, Aviation, & Healthcare applications.  Responsibilities included: a) leading engineering teams of 10 - 20 people, b) securing funding from participating GE businesses, c) managing the budgets and d) participate in or lead product launches for the various GE businesses.
