Hood is an accomplished leader, adept in managing and integrating Systems and Software Engineering activities while adhering to enterprise-wide Strategic Planning. Moreover, Hood is an expert in leveraging Enterprise Architecture for environmental system of systems and cyberinfrastructures.

Hood has led teams of scientists and engineers towards a collaborative and shared vision that is consistent with mission-related objectives. He has implemented all phases of the Environmental Life Cycle Data Management from planning, collection, processing, dissemination through analytics, exploitation, and decision support.
