Christopher Edmonds is a multifaceted and accomplished professional, balancing his expertise in both tech and the music industry. As the co-founder and CEO of Remetrik, a Techstars portfolio company, he specializes in data analysis, informatics, DevOps, and systems architecture. With extensive experience in digital media supply chain, music distribution, licensing, publishing, royalties, accounting, and copyright and intellectual property law, Edmonds has a thorough understanding of the contemporary landscapes of the music and media businesses. He is also an AWS certified developer, solutions architect, and SysOps administrator.
Before starting his career in tech, Edmonds studied electrical engineering with an emphasis on signal processing, applied mathematics, and statistics. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees at Florida International University, and pursued a Ph.D. at Stanford University. Additionally, he received certification in the Berkman Center for Internet and Society's CopyrightX Course at Harvard Law School.
As a music producer, songwriter, artist, and DJ, Edmonds has held multiple club residencies and performed at festivals. He is also a member of DDEX and the Open Music Initiative. In his free time, Edmonds enjoys promoting music and media topics as a frequent public speaker. He is an avid fan of the Oxford comma and enjoys emphasizing its importance.
