Douglas Miller is a renowned privacy strategist, privacy advocate, and historian enthusiast. With over two decades of professional experience, Miller has developed, interpreted, and represented Verizon media's global perspective on privacy. He spearheaded the privacy strategy, practice, and compliance across 50+ brands under Oath Inc, as Vice President and Global Privacy Leader, before the company merged with Yahoo to form Verizon Media. He has played a vital role in advocacy, education, and awareness on privacy-related matters while developing and reviewing Privacy by design policies to foster data governance.

Miller holds a Bachelor's degree in History, Government, and International Relations from Clark University and studied International Affairs at The George Washington University, where he earned a Master's Degree. Miller is a renowned professional and has held senior positions in several organizations, including the Network Advertising Initiative where he served as the Board Chair, and the ICC Commission on Marketing and Advertising, where he served as the Chairman of the Working Group on Digital Media.

He has an interest in preserving unique historical resources and has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of Oatlands Historic House and Gardens in Leesburg, VA as the Board Chair. He has also been a volunteer docent at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History since 1992.
