Sam Hessenauer

Sam Hessenauer is a technology entrepreneur who has made a significant impact in the fields of machine learning/artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and blockchain technologies. He studied electrical and electronics engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and has taken part in a variety of educational programs, including UC CAI, UC BRAID, NSF I-CORPS, and the Entrepreneurship Center at UCSF.

Hessenauer co-founded Nanome Inc., where he currently serves as Chief Technology Officer, creating intelligent and immersive tools for collaborative nano-scale design. Prior to this, he gained a wealth of experience from various positions held at GE Digital, including Technlogy Partnerships and Investment Analyst, Program Manager for PaaS Operations, and Program Manager for Mergers and Acquisitions. Hessenauer has also worked as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Marine Technical Services and as an Independent Software Engineering Contractor.
