Ann Miura-Ko, a top venture capitalist and co-founding partner at Floodgate, a seed-stage VC firm, has an impressive track record in investing and nurturing pre-product market fit startups. She has been recognized by Forbes and the New York Times as one of the top venture capitalists in the world. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Ann invests in pre-seed and seed-stage companies with check sizes ranging from $300k to $3M, specializing in early-stage investments. Her early investments in Lyft and Refinery29 and newer companies such as Popshop Live, Poparazzi, Monthly, Emotive, Roo, and Polygence have proven to be successful ventures.

Ann's vision of co-conspiring with founders and partnering with a select group of only 3-5 founders a year has resulted in many founders pivoting into success, thanks to her mental model associated with navigating the early-stage process. In addition to her successful career as a venture capitalist, Ann is also a co-director of the Stanford Mayfield Fellows Program, a program teaching entrepreneurship and leadership to twelve undergraduates, and a co-founding member of AllRaise, a non-profit organization aiming to accelerate the success of female founders and funders. Ann has a Ph.D. in Math Modeling of Information Security from Stanford and serves on the Board of Trustees at Yale University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
