Marie Segares is an accomplished Assistant Professor, Change Manager, Digital Content Creator, and Consultant. With a passion for teaching, creative problem-solving, writing, and community building, Marie has amassed a wealth of experience across various fields. After earning her MPH from Columbia University, Marie pursued her interest in managing programs and completed a graduate program in Leadership & Change Management and Entrepreneurship & Innovation at New York University, eventually earning an MBA. She founded Underground Crafter as a part-time business where she teaches crochet, knitting, and designs patterns for a wide audience, and she also co-founded New York City's first Early College and Career and Technical Education high school, raising nearly $1 million in funding. Marie has over 15 years of experience in higher education as a professor, adjunct instructor, and program director, impacting the lives of thousands of students. In her current role as the Director of the M.S. in Management at St. Francis College, she specializes in distance learning and focuses on five unique concentrations. Marie earned her EdD in Organizational Leadership Studies from Northeastern University in 2020.
