Scott Murtishaw

Scott Murtishaw is a distinguished policy expert and educator with extensive experience in the fields of environmental markets, renewable energy, regulation, and energy resources. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Stanford University and has pursued MPP in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Murtishaw has served in various organizations, including Independent Energy Producers, California Solar & Storage Association, California Public Utilities Commission, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

As Independent Energy Producers' Policy Director, Scott Murtishaw has contributed to California's policymaking and regulatory affairs in energy development, operations, and markets. He has served as an Energy Advisor at the Office of President Picker and Office of President Peevey at California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), where he provided expert insights on energy and climate policy. Murtishaw has also worked as a Senior Regulatory Analyst in Climate Change and an Interim Supervisor for Customer Generation at the CPUC.
