Todd Hauptman, Q.J.

Todd Hauptman, Q.J., is a well-respected Senior Communications Consultant based at Thompson Rivers University and a recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal. With over a decade of experience in communications, public affairs, and government relations, Todd has established himself as a prominent figure in the field.

Before joining TRU, Todd was engaged in various impactful roles. He worked at FleishmanHillard, contributing to the COVID-19 plan for YVR and spearheading a lobbying campaign for MoveUP. As the Public Affairs Director at the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, he successfully orchestrated a public advocacy campaign that resulted in new funding for legal aid.

Todd's early involvement in politics, running campaigns, and advising candidates has laid a sturdy foundation for his career. His proficiency in writing and messaging, coupled with a wide network of media contacts across the province, has further strengthened his expertise.

He pursued his Bachelor's degree with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Communications at the University College of the Fraser Valley.
