Alberto Gomez is a U.S. veteran and Operations Coordinator who has built his career on the principle that, "Leadership is action, not a position." He has honed his skills in communication, logistics, and operations through a variety of roles, including Emergency Management Specialist Assistant at Broward County Emergency Management Department and Wildland Firefighter Engine Lead at Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
Alberto holds a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship from Lynn University, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from Everglades University. He has also completed general business courses at CIEE in London and studied Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at University of Maryland University College.
Currently, Alberto serves as the Operations Coordinator for the Watson Institute South Florida, where he is a staunch advocate for the elimination of single-use plastics. Additionally, he has held leadership positions in various organizations, such as Vaagens Brothers Lumber Inc. as a Floor Walker (Saw Mill) Round Table Operator and the United States Marine Corps as a Motor Transportation Operator.
