Alex Vlack is a highly talented writer, director, and producer with a diverse portfolio of work spanning across film, television, and commercial productions with remarkable results. With a Bachelor's degree in Writing and Religion from Columbia University in the City of New York, Alex is a veteran creative with experience writing virtual reality interactive films, branching narrative comedy series, and interactive reimaginings of classical literature such as "Fame" and "Crime & Punishment."

Alex is the founder and former director of media at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, where he oversaw close to $40 million worth of projects, including the Museum of Jewish History and Tolerance Center in Moscow, IBM’s THINK exhibit at Lincoln Center, and a 200-monitor installation for the 2015 World Expo. Previously, he produced nearly 50 commercials for Puma and The Gap and launched videos for Apple products, with the iPhone 4 being one of the most successful product launches in history.

He has also directed and produced documentaries, including Still Bill, a feature documentary on the musician Bill Withers that won many awards and aired on Showtime. He also produced and wrote High Falls, a short film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won Best Short Film at the Woodstock Film Festival.

Alex is an incredibly prolific writer, with over six published books to his name, including "Everywhere Always," a poetry book for children; "White Eyes and Skipping Stone," a middle-grade novel set in 17th-century Japan; "Captain Salt," a middle-grade novel about a very salty old man and his two thirteen-year-old nemeses; "Four Writers," both a novella and a feature film script about writers and their secrets, and "Spin and Snap," an adult literary novel about a homeless man with a supernatural dancing ability who becomes a superstar under the tutelage of Jay-Z.
