Edmond Harty, an award-winning Engineer and Adjunct Full Professor at University College Dublin, has made a name for himself as one of the world's leading innovators in the AgriTech sector. He is a former CEO of Dairymaster, where he introduced and implemented numerous new technologies from software and electronics to lasers and robots. During his time, the company transformed from a fabrication to an engineering and technology company. Under his leadership, Dairymaster received various innovation and technology awards.

Before his tenure in Dairymaster, Harty studied BioSystem Engineering for his Ph.D. at University College Dublin, where he is now an Adjunct Full Professor. He also holds a B.Eng, Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick, and took up Innovation Management at IMD Business School and the Irish Management Institute. He also studied at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Apart from his academic pursuits, Harty is also active in various organizations, such as The Irish Times Trust Board of Governors, the AgriTech Centre of Excellence Board of Directors, and the Salesian Agricultural College Board of Governors, to name a few. He also served as a member of the Standing committee on farm management and action team on milking equipment and methods at the International Dairy Federation.
