Steve Kinney is a highly experienced front-end architect, teacher, author, and conference organizer with an impressive track record in software engineering and education. He has worked for several recognized organizations, including Twilio Inc. and SendGrid, where he built sophisticated user interfaces for their web-based, drag-and-drop editor, and interactive code editor. Steve was also a founding member of the Turing School of Software and Design, where he was the director of the front-end engineering program and taught web foundations, modern client-side technologies, and other programming languages to hundreds of software engineers from around the world.

Steve is a talented teacher with Frontend Masters, where he shares his vast knowledge by teaching courses on state management with React and Redux, JavaScript Performance, building one's programming language, AWS for front-end engineers, hardware hacking with JavaScript, and rapid prototyping and development with Firebase. He is also the author of Electron in Action, a highly acclaimed book that is currently in production with Manning Publications.
