Mitchell Kopelman is a well-known figure in the world of finance, accounting, and taxation. As the partner-in-charge of Aprio’s Technology & Biosciences client services group, he has been instrumental in providing sound financial advice and guidance to clients in a diverse range of industries. Mitchell has a wealth of experience in working with technology firms, gaming companies, health care IT providers, and biotech and med device firms. His expertise ranges from early-stage startups to established businesses planning for a liquidity event. Mitchell has a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, supporting clients with structuring, tax due diligence, and transactional tax issues.

Mitchell has a proven track record of assisting both domestic and international companies with a range of tax issues, including inbound and outbound tax issues, transfer pricing, and stock options. He studied at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business, where he earned Bachelor of Business Administration degrees. Mitchell was recently named as a Top 10 Public Accounting Professional in Georgia for 2014 by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals.

In addition to his work at Aprio, Mitchell is involved with several organizations, including serving as the treasurer of the Southern Capital Forum, a board member for Connex, the American-Israel Business Connector, and a former executive committee member for Alef Fund, Inc. He is also on the board of advisors for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Technology Marketing Council.
