BT Slingsby, MD, PhD, MPH, is a renowned global health expert, bioethicist, and former professional triathlete. Dr. Slingsby's impressive career includes leading the launch of the Global Health Innovative Technology (GHIT) Fund, the first international public-private fund in Japan. He has also implemented new business models for R&D and market access at Eisai & Co., where he served as the head of global strategy for the developing world. As an Adjunct Lecturer at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine and a Research Fellow at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine, Dr. Slingsby has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles on health in both Japanese and American literature and co-authored the first textbook on bioethics in Asia. He has also helped launch numerous start-ups in Japan and the U.S. while he was a graduate student. Dr. Slingsby's extensive expertise and leadership have resulted in a portfolio of over 60 investments in pharmaceutical product development, with a portfolio value of over $US100 million.
