William McMahan is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in robotics, automation, and perception. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the prestigious General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Laboratory. He also holds a Master's degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics and Electrical Engineering, which he earned from the same institution. Prior to that, McMahan pursued his BS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University.

With his extensive academic and research credentials, McMahan became a trusted professional in his field. He was a former Senior Robotics Engineer at Neocis Inc. and is currently a Robotics Engineer at Berkshire Grey. Before joining the private sector, he was an Engineer/Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and a Graduate Researcher at Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory at Clemson University.
