Cassy Cox is a seasoned cross-industry professional with over 16 years of experience in strategic program and project planning and execution, M&E, and resource mobilization. She is an expert in deploying cutting-edge technology and innovations to address some of the world's most pressing challenges. Cassy is a respected international team leader who is comfortable working in complex and high-risk environments. She is a graduate of New York University, where she studied MS in Global Affairs, Development Economics, and International Development, and the University at Albany, SUNY, where she received a degree in Political Science.
Cassy has held several leadership positions over the years, including Strategy Lead at DataKind, Founding Member at SomGroup, Programmes Director for Somalia/Somaliland at Concern Worldwide, and Country Director at Forcier Consulting. She has also worked as an Urban Program Coordinator (promotion) and Protection Manager (Emergency) at the International Rescue Committee. She taught part-time and conducted research at Africa Nazarene University and has extensive experience in the recruitment industry, having worked as a National Experienced Tax Recruiter at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Recruiter at New York Networking Group. Cassy is also a veteran, having served in the US Army as a Human Intelligence Collector.
