John Smoot is a highly experienced and licensed geologist with 25 years of progressive experience. He has worked with the groundwater environmental remediation, oil & gas, and mining industries providing unique consulting services in geologic analysis, visualization, and regulatory compliance. John holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the University of Wyoming, a Ph.D. in Geology, Geostatistics, and Multiphase Flow from the University of Idaho, and has also previously interned with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

John's vast work experience includes being a Senior Geologist Technical Integration at CH2M, Senior Geologist at Fluor, Technical Manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and a Geologist at Nance Petroleum Corporation (SM Energy). He is also the CEO of 4D GeoViz, LLC, where he provides exceptional consulting services to industries in need of technical and comprehensive geological assistance.
