Joey Banks is an accomplished designer, designer advocate, and educator. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Media Studies, Web Development & Design from Miami University. With a passion for making things that help others, he has held positions at various organizations, including Figma, where he serves as a Designer Advocate, and Virta Health, where he was a Senior UX Designer. Additionally, he has worked at Scoot Networks and Global Cloud as a Designer and completed internships in design at these organizations as well. He is also a former Web and Interaction Design Tutor at Miami University and was a Microsoft Student Representative for the organization.

Throughout his career, Banks has leveraged his design expertise and experience with software like Figma to support and collaborate with the design community. He is a strong advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement and identifies as T1D.
