Jamal Russell Black is a sustainability analyst at ENGIE Impact, specializing in addressing systemic inequities, geospatial research, and data-driven insights in vulnerable populations. He holds a master's degree in econometrics and quantitative economics from the University of California, San Diego, and has studied critical language scholarship in Mandarin from Soochow University in China. Additionally, Black holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Regent's University London.

Black's professional experience includes serving as CEO of Veridian Analytics, research and project manager at San Diego Workforce Partnership, research manager at Hanover Research, and teaching assistant in international law and regulation at UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). He has also worked as a graduate student assistant at the Center on Global Transformation, marketed and researched associates for TradeUp Capital Fund, served as head delegate at National Model United Nations, and acted as the human rights section director and contributor at the International Political Forum.
