With academic expertise in Geology and a Master's degree in Marketing from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Suraj began his journey as a Senior Sales Exec at East West Airlines before moving on to work for several renowned organizations such as American Express, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and Thomas Cook India Limited. During his time at Thomas Cook, he garnered extensive experience in Planning and Strategy, Airline and GDS Contracting, and Corporate Travel and led the Service Excellence Center for Corporate Travel as Senior Vice President & Head. He also founded TravelSpends, a venture focused on centralizing corporate travel spends. His highlights include launching the first India-centric Whitepaper in Corporate Travel and conceptualizing "Travel MindSpeak."
