AnnieCannons trains survivors of human trafficking to become software developers.  We receive referrals of bright, driven life hackers from shelters. After selecting recruits based on demonstrated logical aptitude, we train them to code using a trauma-informed, product-based curriculum designed to mitigate the forces that marginalized them.  They are uniquely suited to programming work, so we have also established an Impact Agency where we source and manage freelance work for them. In addition to providing an efficient means for them to monetize their skills, the agency generates revenue that can more than cover our operating costs in about 4 years.I was in charge of all marketing and business development for AnnieCannons, plus some project management. We have offices in San Francisco, London, Shenzhen, and new ones opening in Canada and Australia.I was promoted 4 times in 4 years and came to own events and mentorship programs in San Francisco plus all marketing for RocketSpace's campuses worldwide. This included inbound marketing, lead generation, SEO, SEM, blog strategy and execution, content offers, email campaigns, social media, and event production and marketing... all with a view to establish RocketSpace as the ultimate ecosystem for tech startups to grow and scale.Well versed in marketing automation, I helped implement RocketSpace's marketing technology stack. My responsibilities also included running our monthly startup events, promoting our campus partners, client communications, and supporting various one-off communication campaigns and campus initiatives as they arose. Agile and a quick learner, I adapted quickly to changing needs to focus my efforts where I could drive the most impact.Achievements include building RocketSpace's inbound marketing strategy and assets from scratch and reaching top five search engine rankings for keywords (top first and second spot for out most relevant and highest volume keywords). I also increased leads by more than 200%, monthly website visitors by 43%, inbound marketing traffic by approximately 218%, and blog subscribers by 400% in less than 1 year. On the events side, I started our highly rated events and mentorship programs from scratch. In parallel with the marketing activities outlined above, I grew our programs to a roster of 5-6 monthly events (CEO roundtables, workshops, and speaker series featuring speakers such as Nir Eyal or VCs) designed to help tech startups grow. These events were routinely rated 4/5 by our resident founders and their teams.

This involved finding and interviewing potential speakers, choosing topics that will be of most interest and help to our tech startup audience, and scheduling and promoting programming via email, social media, partnerships, and online listings. I ran one ~90-person event and five to six smaller workshops each month.I also developed and implemented content marketing campaigns, inbound lead campaigns,and social media strategy (both push and pull techniques on Facebook, Twitter,LinkedIn, Instagram, and coworking websites). In addition, I managed communications to our startup members (automated emails, one-off communications, and specialized campaigns).Lastly, I proactively tracked data through Google Analytics and HubSpot, and developed newideas for blog posts and marketing campaigns.
