Frankie James, a managing director at General Motors, is using her expertise in human-computer interaction to explore new technologies and companies that could be valuable to GM. James studied computer science at Northeastern University before obtaining her PhD in computer science from Stanford University. Her research background has focused on audio, voice, and multimodal interactions, as well as accessibility for users. Prior to her current role, James worked as a senior research scientist at SAP Research and as a research scientist at RIACS.
