Truong Nghiem, PhD is a leading researcher in the field of Cyber Physical Systems, with over 10 years of experience. His expertise lies at the intersection of control, optimization, machine learning, and computing, and he has applied this knowledge to address challenges in building energy systems, smart grids, autonomous robots, and vehicles, real-time control systems, and verification of control systems. Dr. Nghiem holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also worked as a postdoctoral researcher. He has also worked as a postdoctoral scientist at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), and as an intern at NEC Laboratories America. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Northern Arizona University, where he also contributes to research and funding proposal development. Dr. Nghiem has developed several open-source research software tools, including MLE+ and openBuildNet, and his work has been acknowledged with multiple awards, including the Best Demo Award at BuildSys.
