Back End Developer at Faire

As a backend developer at Faire, I am primarily involved in our payment processing and internationalization product areas. Key business roles include:
-  Payment processing and invoicing charging
-  Infrastructure for underwriting and risk analysis
-  Integrations with 3rd party payment and PoS platforms
-  Managing feature development, testing and monitoring

Key technical skills utilized:
-  Programming for distributed systems

-  Kotlin: backend code development

Faire

Back End Developer

Working with the Component Integration team at NVIDIA, I had the opportunity to prototype a distributed, modular system to support continuous integration development of NVIDIA software and firmware. Key aspects of the position included:

-  Ideation to implementation of a distributed, modular and user-defined workflow engine in Python. Intended use for large-scale software build-and-test with complex dependencies
-  Dialogue with and support for hardware and firmware designers by developing infrastructure services
-  Object-oriented, asynchronous Python development of client- and server-side code for web services
-  Use of Kubernetes and Docker to host a distributed system of services
-  Jenkins pipeline development

Software Infrastructure Developer (Co-op)

At Teledyne DALSA, I expanded my capabilities in software development for embedded systems and development operations (DevOps). Working as one of the primary resources behind a push towards adopting a model for continuous integration in software development, my key responsibilities were:

-  Driving DevOps initiatives, remaining accountable to time-critical deadlines in our release process
-  Anticipating the needs of the team throughout transitions in development practices/tools and proactively coordinating appropriate responses
-  Developing C code for embedded microprocessors used in camera technologies
-  Groovy and Python scripting for test and build systems, including build processes
-  Jenkins build system maintenance
-  Management of servers and software for unified, maintainable code development
