Michael Hui

Michael Hui is the Managing Director for the Australasian region at Arowana, a role he assumed in 2011. He has an extensive background as both a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law and as a business executive.

With over a decade of experience in legal practice, Michael transitioned into the business world, where he has been involved in various operating businesses, including education, electrical and inspection services, and asset management under Arowana's umbrella.

Michael's responsibilities encompass a wide array of functions such as leading investment activities, operational enhancements, technology integration, capital procurement, and strategic divestments within the organizations he oversees.

His current focus within Arowana is heading the Private Enterprise investments arm in the Australasian sector. In this capacity, he drives corporate growth, mergers and acquisitions, and technology-driven operational improvements for the company's ventures in the region.

Beyond his current role, Michael has a history of entrepreneurial ventures, having co-founded an online payments company. Combined with his legal expertise, which includes running his own law firm and working in private practice and in-house roles, Michael brings a unique skill set to his leadership position at Arowana.

Michael Hui's educational background includes a Bachelor of Information Technology (Information Systems), a Bachelor of Laws, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology.
